Comic-Easel on wordpress Pages

Hey! I can't seem to integrate comic-easel into our webpage, I'd like to put it onto a separate page using a page template, however adding <?php do_action('comic-area'); ?> to the page template does not seem to do anything. Is there something that I'm missing? or do you need more information about the setup. I'm using the blacklabel wordpress theme by forestthemes, on wordpress 3.4.1.

Comics cannot be set into a 'page' they can be set into index.php and single.php it won't work in a templete unless you make a loop specific for the post type

So is there a way I can autolink to the most recent comic page from the menubar?

^ that will go automatically to the latest comic

you can also do

/?latest=#

where # is the chapter ID # so you can go to the latest of a specific chapter if you want
